‘Home’ is a fundamental part of our lives. Exploring students’ homes in a recent survey we asked people to upload a picture of their favourite thing about their accommodation. Far more than just a place to cook, wash, eat and sleep – students shared images that brought to life experiences and memories that are having a substantial impact on university life. The images touched on themes from the importance of friendships, to binge watching Netflix, what having your own space means for your independence, and how people are dealing with feelings of homesickness. You can explore some of the images people shared with us below. We would love to hear about your memories of student accommodation, tweet us @alterlineaction using #studentstreet.
