The role of university estates and buildings in the student community

Download your free copy of our 'Role and Impact of Space & Buildings on the University Community' summary report, exploring the role of university estates in student community.

In 2018-19 Alterline worked with two UK Universities on an in-depth qualitative insight project to explore how estates, spaces and buildings were having an impact on the development and maintenance of community for students on campus. Using innovative digital methodologies, students took part in online communities, photo diaries and focus groups.

Designed to support understanding and improvement of student responses to NSS Q21, the project produced a range of interesting findings, recommendations and action plans for the Universities who participated.

We are delighted to be able to share with you some of the over-arching insights which the project produced and to offer the opportunity to other Estates teams to engage with us on insight work at your own campus. You can download our summary report on the project below, which explores the role of university estates in student community.
