Research commissioned by The Brain Tumour Charity leads to new insights on the real lives of adults and children with brain tumours, and 3 reports looking at Life with a Brain Tumour.
The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, making a difference every day to the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families. They fund pioneering research to increase survival, raise awareness of the symptoms and effects of brain tumours, and provide support for everyone affected, to improve quality of life.
With this in mind The Brain Tumour Charity commissioned Alterline to conduct the ‘Life with a Brain Tumour’ project – the most comprehensive study of its kind. The research has spanned the experiences of adults and children and three powerful reports have been produced. Download all three reports at the bottom of this page:
In partnership with The Brain Tumour Charity, Alterline developed and used questionnaires, online diaries and in-depth interviews to talk to people with brain tumours and find out about different aspects of their lives. The study had a strong response from people with the condition and has generated an extensive evidence base, including full research reports and public facing documents and videos. The Brain Tumour Charity is using these to inform improvements and innovations across its services as well as to inform and influence policy makers, healthcare professionals and the public’s understanding of the realities of a disease that affects both the old and the young.
